Irelands biggest Rock and Pop awards. The Corrs won best Irish band, best live performance by an Irish act and their
lead singer Andrea Corr won best female singer.
Divine Comedy took the gong for Best Irish album and frontman Neil Hannon scooped best male singer and best Irish
songwriter.
The award ceremony is to be broadcast by BBC Northern Ireland this Saturday (Oct 9).
Other stars at the event included Westlife, Sinead O'Connor and Ash. Nina Simone was the special guest and won an award for her lifetime contribution to music.
Westlife won best Irish pop act award and Robbie Williams was honoured for his sell out concert at The Point theatre winning best live performance by an international act.
